Please Stop Stressing Yourself Out! Find the pressure point you’re holding on yourself

Watch this video to find the ONE BIG GNARLY PRESSURE POINT you are holding on yourself, and then follow me through a process to release it. Then share your stand with me on the blog

Two days ago, sitting on a couch talking to one of my soul sisters, Christine Hassler, about this crazy pressure I was feeling even though I was sitting in one of the most serene beautiful places on earth 100 feet from the sea, I had a HUGE epiphany about what is causing you, me and every woman (and man) I know un-needed stress.

Stress that you literally have the ability to alleviate if you know where to look, how to find the pressure point causing you unnecessary pain, running that judgmental voice in your head who loves to push you and pressure you with words like…

“You should be doing more…”

“Why aren’t you…”

These two phrases alone I am sure are behind the wrinkles, the extra weight, the facts that 1 in 4 women will die of heart disease, twice as many women than men are on anti-depressants, or the reality that most of us feel overwhelmed and exhausted a lot of the time.

So in honor of the international day of women this month, I am saying ENOUGH to this I am not enough b.s. … I am saying NO to Not-Enoughness and declaring 2014 as the Year of ENOUGHNESS.

Wanna join me?

mantra self love enough

Declare here, right now that You are enough. That you’ve done enough. That you don’t have to pressure yourself to do more? That there are other, more self-loving ways, to motivate yourself?

Good! Now that we have that cleared up, What do you do???

Well you start by watching this week’s love letter… I will run you through the short but mighty process I used to identify the big gnarly pressure point causing undue stress on me, and show you how to find your gnarly unnecessary pressure point and release it.

Then, here on the blog, release the pressure point by 1. Saying how you are putting this pressure on yourself. 2. Telling the truth AND then 3. Take a stand for being and doing enough right now (in caps!) I will witness you, as if you are right here with me on the couch – making this a year of ENOUGHNESS!

Here I will go first.

I am putting pressure on myself to be out in the world speaking right now. The truth is that I am exactly where I need to be, writing at the sea and talking to people through the internet and phone right now. I AM DOING ENOUGH RIGHT NOW. I AM ENOUGH.

Okay your turn…

I am putting pressure on myself to…
The truth is…
I AM DOING ENOUGH RIGHT NOW. I AM ENOUGH.

Whoo hoo!! Can’t wait to high five you and your post.

And remember, if you want more support on sticking to this, and you still haven’t joined The Love Club, you can still join for the entire year at the special year rate but only through the end of March. www.JointheLoveClub.com xoxox

I AM ENOUGH. I AM DOING ENOUGH. RIGHT NOW!

So I will stop going through old emails from the past few months when I was and Go To Bed… knowing that all the self-love videos will be there for me another day! Good night!

I am stressing out over a relationship. I am stressing out over how I look. I’ve lost weight ( I’m vintage) and my skin looks wobbly BUT I am working out and doing the best I can and that is enough!

I am putting pressure on myself to make my grandpa a handmade card by Thursday & learn how to play Happy Birthday on the piano by Saturday. On a larger scale, I’m putting pressure on myself to meet my beloved and get married & have kids & be super responsible about everything in my life.

The truth is my grandpa will be totally fine if I get him the card late – or I don’t do as excellent a job as I normally do. The truth is my piano teacher didn’t give me enough time to learn Happy Birthday & my grandpa will be just as happy if I play other things that I’ve already learned. The truth is I was the one who decided that I had to learn how to play Happy Birthday for my grandpa’s 92nd birthday, the truth is he just wanted to hear me play something, anything. The truth is I can’t control when I meet my soulmate, all I can do is enjoy life & be open to men who seem like they could be my soulmate & not settle for guys who make me sad every time I see them.

I TAKE A STAND FOR ME. I AM ENOUGH JUST AS I AM. I DON’T HAVE TO LEARN A SONG IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS WHEN I ONLY STARTED PIANO FOR THE FIRST TIME A FEW MONTHS AGO. AND THE LESS I STRESS OVER MY LOVE LIFE, THE MORE LIKELY IT IS I WILL A LOVE LIFE. SO I TAKE A STAND TO STOP STRESSING SO MUCH OVER MY LOVE LIFE (OR LACK THERE OF).

Thank you Christine! Your blog is awesome & so helpful! YOU are awesome & so helpful!

Hi Christine & Love Club peeps!
So picking one of the many ways I put pressure on myself is too much pressure! ACK! JK ๐Ÿ˜‰ Seriously though, when you said that, Christine, my immediate answer was “everywhere” (bah humbug). Lately, career has been a definitive focus, b/c, well, I go to the j-o-b everyday & I wonder what the heck I’m doing there. I have some things in the works, so to speak, but I also feel like it’s a good possibility that I’m spinning my wheels WHERE I’m working on putting some of these things to work. So, I’m pressuring myself that I “SHOULD” know where I’m going, how I’m getting there, and so on. (I feel just a little dirty for “should’ing” on myself so much! hehe)
And much as the absolutely fantabulous Christine Hassler told you “you are right where you need to be, doing what you need to be doing”, I realize that I am in a discovery mode. I’m pursuing my passion for learning & (gasp!) I’m learning more about what I want to do, where I want to put my energy, and who I want to help & *why.
    So darn-it-all, I AM ENOUGH! ;^} I’m a friggin’ ROCKSTAR, man! haha…and I AM doing enough…just for me… :^D

Thank you for this video Christine.. looks like a lovely spot! I am putting SO much pressure on myself to find musicians to play with. As a new mom in a new rural area it is a challenge to get out and meet people to play with. When I know this is the main dream I want to attain (rocking multiple houses on a regular basis) I feel like a failure if I’m not doing it RIGHT NOW. What’s true is my baby is 18 months old and he takes a huge percentage of my life force.. and it’s supposed to be that way. I hear that’s normal for early parenthood. Being his mom and reaching out to people when I can, going to see music when I can and get a lay of the land and feel for the area is ENOUGH. Anything worth doing takes time. I am tired of comparing myself to other singers and feeling I am behind. I am on my OWN path which has it’s own perfect timing. What I’m doing is enough and I trust myself to keep doing it.

I am putting pressure on myself on myself to get back out into the world working any job to pay off my debts and arrears, spending as much time as I can with others at the same time as studying Angel Therapy/Angel Class Teacher Healing Diplomas and working on my own self-love, spiritual and fun/work/life balance journey.
The truth is that for the first time in my life I am happy having taken a 8-month life sabbatical to let go of my past hurts, abuses, angers, victim-ship and all other things that I resisted knowing about myself in my life. Yes I have big dreams, yes I have things in my life that I desire to explore further which requires funds, focus and dedication and none of that is going to be possible without this much-needed time of self-discovery and surrender!

I am putting pressure on myself to do enough to fulfill at least the bare minimums: hygiene, adequate eating, sleeping, and exercising and creative pursuits.
The truth is THERE IS A LOT ON MY PLATE RIGHT NOW. And a whole lot of love is felt by those around me coming from [or through] me.

Thanks for this great message, Christine! I am putting pressure on myself right now to have a perfectly clean and organized house AND start a new business AND get all my paperwork and our taxes done AND find time to exercise AND get healthy and recover from a long illness AND a million other things! No WONDER I am exhausted! The truth is that I am in the right place right now finally starting to feel better after a year of illness, and the good news is that as I feel better and better physically I will be able to accomplish more and more…so at every step of the way I am doing exactly the right thing by taking care of myself first. I AM DOING ENOUGH RIGHT NOW. I AM ENOUGH.

I was just talking to my 23 year old daughter this morning about the pressure i put on myself unnecessarily. I am compulsive about my to do list. If it is on my plate i need to do it now! This is not true. Work, taxes, airplane flights are timely responsibilities. Everything else can wait til later. I am enough.

Sitting here in my recliner chair, nice packs on pulled ligaments in my leg and I was stewing over falling behind in the two art classes I’m taking, my house is dirty and a mess and my mean girls are yelling about house guests arriving next month ……yes! I am enough, my greatest need to to rest, ice my injuries, heal and enjoy the love of my soul mate/hubby’s love and care. Some how what really needs to get done will happen and right now I am fully here, where I need to be, healing, and opening my hand and heart to love that is being shown to me….time to empty the trash of Not Enough! Oh my goodness you are the voice of Reason right now. I’ve been in serious stress and overwhelm while I look for a job and no wonder I’ve gained a little weight which of course gets even more judgment going… it’s a vicious cycle! I feel like I popped myself out of it enough to be able to hear this video which gave me chills and tears, and I had a hard time talking to myself like a best friend about the job thing so I am working on that one. But one thing I can do to take the pressure off is to look on a certain job board for a certain type of job that I heard about recently, and apply to the ones that I find. And keep my focus on what jobs I would love to do, put up affirmations around my home to keep me positively focused, and make sure to apply to at least one or two jobs per day. Thank you!!

Thank-you so much Christine, for your enlightening video about being enough. In the past, I’ve taken on so much, teetering on the brink of burn-out. Finally, my body said enough already! I crashed and burned a few months ago, adrenal exhaustion, and all the goes along with it. I’ve had to back away from some contract work and other extra-curriculars, and time my meals so that I won’t have low blood sugar and pass out. I’m doing the bare minimum, teaching 4 classes at the local university, which in itself is still a lot. But I’m managing, with a focus on self-care. I have been feeling guilt for not being able to do the other things that I had committed to. And those people are bugging me about when I can come back. They are stressing me out. I have been feeling guilt about letting others down, but I had actually let myself down, by not taking care, not setting boundaries, and most of all not loving my body and listening to what it needs.
I so needed to hear your message, that I AM DOING ENOUGH RIGHT NOW, and I AM ENOUGH. xo
